Another year is over and we are busy organising another fundraising dinner at Skeabost House Hotel. Join us for a moment to look back at our last year's event.
St Andrew’s night 2016 saw the first Charity Dinner celebration at Skeabost House Hotel. The glittering night showcased the best of Skye’s natural larder, brought together in collaboration with the talents of the chefs from Skeabost House, the Three Chimneys and Ullinish Country Lodge. The beneficiary of the night was Skye’s Micro abattoir project, is a core group of grassroots producer and consumer groups who have pursued the reinstatement of some facility or infrastructure to allow the development and growth of a local meat supply chain to satisfy the increasing demand for low carbon, food with an identity, which is environmentally and economically sustainable in its production.
The night itself was starlight and frosty; the sound of a lone piper floated across Loch Snizort as the guests were welcomed to Dinner. The Skye Chefs put on a banquet that was second to none and will last in the diners’ memories for years to come. The wine flowed and the conversation supported the vision of a Micro Abattoir for Skye and Lochalsh.
The spirit of collaboration and partnership was inspiring for both staff and guests and it was decided to make the night a regular fixture on the Skeabost Hotel Calendar.
